Swedish producer Max Martin (born Martin Sandberg) was the brain behind many of the soul hits of the 2000s (I Want It That Way for the Backstreet Boys, It's Gonna Be Me for N'Sync, Baby One More Time for Britney Spears, That's the Way It Is for Celine Dion, Since U Been Gone for Kelly Clarkson in 2004), and he would go on to write all the hits for Katy Perry (I Kissed a Girl, 2008; California Gurls, 2010; Teenage Dream, 2010; E.T., 2010; Last Friday Night, 2011; Part of Me, 2012; Roar, 2013; Dark Horse, 2014) and the pop career of Taylor Swift (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, 2012; Shake it Off, 2014; Blank Space, 2014; Bad Blood, 2015).
