Simon Posford under the moniker Hallucinogen was the first major auteur of
"goa trance", as documented on the groundbreaking albums
Twisted (1995) and The Lone Deranger (1997).
Posford also produced ambient ethnic dance music a` la Banco de Gaia
under the moniker Shpongle. Their manifesto was
20-minute And the Day Turned to Night (1998), later included in the album
Are You Shpongled (1999).
