New Jersey's
Early November
was one of the many emo-pop bands at the time of
For All Of This (2002) and
The Room's Too Cold (2003).
Arthur "Ace" Anders' songwriting and musical ambition suddenly shifted gear
for the triple-disc semi-autobiographical concept album The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path (2006), containing the ballad No Good At Saying Sorry.
The third disc is mostly a dialogue between the protagonist and his
psychiatrist, with the spoken parts juxtaposed with real music.
Anders also released the solo albums
The Room's Too Cold (2003) and
I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business (2004).
