English post-rock outfit Epic45,
the project of Rob Glover and Benjamin Holton,
vaguely influenced by the likes of
Mogwai, debuted with
Secrets, Signs and Threats (2001),
Reckless Engineers (2002) and
Slides (2004), collections of moody brainy songs.
Against the Pull of Autumn (2004) contains the 12-minute Against the Pull of Autumn.
May Your Heart Be the Map (2007) and
Steps to Further Winter (2009) softened their approach, but Epic45
returned to a longer song format on Weathering (2011).
Glover and Holton also formed Portraits of Diego.
Holton was also active as My Autumn Empire, that released
The Village Compass (2010 and
II (2012).
