Tanakh, the project of Virginia-based singer-songwriter Jesse Poe, resurrected the evocative, spiritual and gothic sound of the later works of Mike Gira's Swans on <b>Villa Claustrophobia</b> (2002), penned with acoustic, electric and handmade instruments.
Increasingly more sophisticated arrangements led to the
 chamber folk music of <b>Dieu Deuil</b> (2004), that in turn led to the
better organized <b>Ardent Fevers</b> (Alien 8, 2006).
Relocating to Italy,  Tanakh released
<b>Saunders Hollow</b> (2007).
