Two Ton Boa is the project of singer and multi-instrumentalist
Sherry Fraser.
The EP Two Ton Boa (Kill Rock Stars, 2000) was recorded by a trio
comprising drummer Dan Rieser and
bassist Brian Sparhawk (a former Fitz Of Depression).
Taking hints from the apocalyptic style of Diamanda Galas,
in Two Ton Boa
Fraser howls over a busy, futuristic soundscapes. In addition, the trio
lays down guitar riffs worthy of hard-rock, best showcased in
Bleeding Heart.
Reminiscent of Weill's cabaret, Comin' Up From Behind is a
devilish anthem of the post-riotgrrrls generation.

Sherry Fraser. L'EP Two Ton Boa (Kill Rock STars, 2000) venne registrato da un
trio comprendente il batterista Dan Rieser e il bassista Brian Sparawk (uno dei
primi membri dei Fitz Of Depression). Su Two Ton Boa Fraser urla su un intimo
paesaggio sonoro prendendo ispirazione dallo stile apocalittico di Diamanda
Galas. Il trio getta le basi per generare inoltre lodevoli riff di chitarra
hard-rock, come avviene su Bleeding Heart. Comin' Up è un inno demoniaco per le
generazioni post-riotgirrrls, che ricorda i cabaret di Kurt Weill.
