Field Music, formed by Andrew Moore, drummer Peter Brewis (an original founder
of Futureheads) and David Brewis mixed
early XTC's skewed melodies, new wave's arrangements and Beach Boys' harmonies
on Field Music (2005), Write Your Own History (2006) and
Tones of Town (2007).
School of Language was launched by Field Music's David Brewis with
Sea from Shore (Thrill Jockey, 2008).
Field Music's Peter Brewis started his project
The Week That Was with the densely multi-layered concept
The Week That Was (2008), bordering on progressive-rock
(Yesterday's Paper) and new wave (Learn To Learn),
but mostly catchy and bouncy.
