Portland's Megaton Leviathan, fronted by Andrew James Costa, debuted with the tentative Megaton Leviathan (2009) but then contributed to the renovation of doom-metal with one of the most original albums of the genre, Water Wealth Hell On Earth (Feretro, 2010), coining a kind of pop doom with clean vocals and clean guitars and with shamanic overtones (mirrored by their live shows), particularly in the 33-minute A Slow Death In D Minor.
