Finnish jazz drummer Terje Isungset employed instruments made of ice (including gamelan-sounding percussion and moaning simulations of horns) as well as eerie wordless vocals for his "all-ice trilogy": the ghostly turbulent Iceman Is (All Ice, 2001), the more soothing and tribal Igloo (All Ice, 2006), and the more shamanic Two Moons (All Ice, 2007). Ice Concerts (All Ice, 2008) document live performances.
Jorma Tapio and Terje Isungset played
free-form tribal noise-jams on
Aihki (Ektro, 2006),
including the 20-minute Selainin Tuli/ Sacred Fire.
