Italian neorealism in the black-and-white Belye Belye Aisty/ White White Storks (1966),
and Italian spaghetti-westerns in Chrezvychainyi Komissar/ The Extraordinary Commissar (1970) and Sedmaia Pulia/ The Seventh Bullet (1972).
Collaborating with cinematographer Yuri Klimenko, Khamraev then turned towards
Tarkovsky-an cinema with
Triptikh/ Triptych (1979) and the poetic autobiographical meditation
Ia Tebia Pomniu/ I Remember You (1985).
