Spontaneous Movements
- Throughout history occasionally grass-roots movements prevail over the establishment simply because they are perceived as "cool" by the masses and turn viral spontaneously. Examples: drugs in the 1960s, hip-hop and punk-rock in the 1970s, the "Rocky Horror Picture Show", Google and Facebook.
- Word of mouth is sometimes more powerful than any coordinated government campaign.
- Some phenomena simply resonate with our very cognitive/genetic essence and cannot be stopped.
