Loss of Identity and Morality

  • One can't have morality if one doesn't have identity.
  • Identity is being lost because: marketing gains more power when there is information overload; we live in a society of hyper-specialized workers; we download more and more of our life from the Internet; we structure even our spare time; and we are losing basic survival skills thanks to all the gadgets that guide our lives.
  • No identity, no morality: we'll live according to a set of guidelines about what we are supposed to do and what we are not supposed to do.
