This loop is located just east of Yosemite.
As you drive east from Tioga Pass, turn left into the road to Saddlebag Lake
and drive to the end. The road is not completely paved but good enough.
At the lake look for the trailhead of the trail that coasts the eastern
side of the lake. The loop begins at the northern tip of the lake.
At the fork, take the right trail to Lundy Pass
This is an easy trail with little elevation.
After Hummingbird Lake and Lundy Pass you reach Odell Lake,
where the trail starts
descending (there is no "Lundy Pass" sign) to reach Lake Helen.
This all happens relatively quickly and painlessly.
After Lake Helen look for the fork. The trail on the right goes to Lundy Canyon.
You want the trail on the left that goes to Shamrock Lake, Steelhead Lake,
Wasco Lake and Greenstone Lake. The latter is just a short distance from
Saddlebag Lake and from the beginning of the loop.
