Below marks the start and end of each "movement" of Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica. Each spell of bluesy "funk-punk" is approximated by my own listening, determined by the individual patterns I've found in the instrumentation.
Movements progress as casually as that of the normal pop-rock structure of verses, refrains, and a bridge. Beefheart's vocals occasionally overpower the volume of the instruments, which shows off his voice's strength, but can be annoying for those who wish the singer was in-sync with the rhythms that each groove sets. (That's why newcomers should probably focus on instrumental versions first.)
Links to other versions of the songs will be supplied for listeners who may want to refresh their ears with a different rendition of the songs than the studio versions. (Note that these performances do not follow the exact times I've marked for the studio version, which a YouTube playlist provides here.)
