German trio Trio (Stephan Remmler on vocals,
Gert "Kralle" Krawinkel on guitar,
Peter Behrens on drums) were loosely part of the German new-wave when they
debuted with the album Trio (1981).
The album was reissued in 1982 with the addition of Da Da Da,
a nonsensical litany for guitar, drums, drum machine and colloquial singing,
that stands as
perhaps the greatest anthem of the post-industrial era,
with one of the most uplifting guitar riffs of all time,
and some of the most subhuman vocals of all time,
and some of the most suave backing vocals of all time (Anette Humpe),
and some of the most immortal lines of all time, such as
"Da Da Da I Don't Love You You Don't Love Me Aha Aha Aha".
The 1982 reissue of Trio also includes their debut three-song EP of 1980.
Whats The Password (Mercury, 1985) collects unreleased material.
