The Dickless, an all-female band from Seattle (originally from the South) ,
featuring Kerry Green (guitar),
Kelly Canary (vocals), Jenny Trower (bass) and Lisa Smith (drums),
were the feminist counterpart of
southern-rock: raw, "racist" and drunk.
I'm A Man was their anthem.
The single Saddle Tramp (SubPop, 1990) coined a
vulgar and rude standard of ultra-feminist rock music.
Canary and Smith would resurface as the Teen Angels, whose
Daddy (Sub Pop, 1996) is no less fearful.
Canary's possessed roar dinamites
Go Away
and Jesus Is On My Side with the same desperation of
Kat Bjelland of the Babes In Toyland.
