New York-based J-Live (Justice Allah) is one of the MCs who has turned
rhymed storytelling into a veritable art. He debuted with the singles
Bragging Writes (1995) and Hush the Crowd (1996),
that announced the elastic soul-rap inflection of The Best Part (2001),
released five years after being recorded, and
All Of The Above (2002).
