Pony is a trio from New York led by Dallas Crowe that briefly resurrected
the deranged punk spirit of the Minutemen.
The EP 14" (Ah Um Fidelity, 1993) showcases the reckless harmonies of
Soft Johnny, Michael and Driving Miss Danger. The album
Cosmovalidator (Homestead, 1994) reveals the influences of
Captain Beefheart and Pixies.
Recorded right after the debut album, El Dorado (Homestead, 1997) will
come out only two years later. This Order and
Robotussin are more discordant than the early tracks and renege most
of the punk animosity for a deeper study of sound.

Pony è un trio di New York guidato da Dallas Crowe che ha riesumato per poco lo
squilibrato spirito punk dei Minutemen. L'EP 14 " (Ah Um Fidelity,
1993) mette in bella mostra le spericolate armonie di Soft Johnny, Michael e
Driving Miss Danger. L'album Cosmovalidator (Homestead, 1994) rivela le
influenze di Captain Beefheart e dei Pixies. Registrato subito dopo l'album di
debutto, El Dorado (Homestead, 1997) uscirà solo due anni dopo. This
Order e Robotussin sono più discordanti rispetto alle prime tracce e
rinnegano gran parte dell'animosità punk in favore di una ricerca più profonda
