erige complessi balletti industriali su
fondamenta di sequencer, loop, campionamenti.
Quarter Inch Think e` la versione ri-masterizzata e ri-mixata
dell'album omonimo d'esordio.
La title-track di Desipramine (Cargo, 1997), uno strumentale, avanza
come un panzer guidato da zombie alieni,
quintessenza di stereotipi gotici e futuristi.
Inefficient Machine si attiene a quello schema e aggiunge soltanto i bisbigli
extraterrestri della cantante.
Abbandonate le pose aggro del primo EP, adesso il senso dell'operazione
sta nel mix e nel campionamento. Tutto viene decostruito accuratamente prima
di essere brutalmente riassemblato. I poliritmi sintetici che pervadono tutte
le canzoni sono il frutto piu` evidente di questa operazione. Le melodie e
le tinte elettroniche pendono dalla parte del dark-punk britannico.

is a programmatic manifesto of their hard and frequently dissonant house sound.
From the hypnotic, exotic Scetch to the tribal, pounding Spaces,
from the David Byrne-esque ethno-funk of Shape Of Things
to the robotic drum'n'bass of Go Direct, the duo shows plenty of
imagination but limited focus.
Under the monicker Cooldown, on the EP Ether (Map, 1999),
Price plays trip-hop with a female vocalist (Yin).
