Rhode Island'
Black Forest Black Sea
was one of many collectives that played improvised psychedelic folk music in the 2000s, relying on sloppy instrumental parts, drugged vocals, floating drones and subdued confused melodies.
They debuted with
Black Forest Black Sea (Last Visible Dog, 2003 - Asphalt Duchess, 2006),
followed by
two erratic and partially live albums:
Forcefields And Constellations (Bluesanct, 2004) and
Radiant Symmetry (Last Visible Dog, 2004).
Black Forest Black Sea (Music Fellowship, 2007) contains just two lengthy jams, possibly their artistic peak.
