The classically-trained hip-hop producer Chris "Drumma Boy" Golson was one of the main drivers of "trap music" after moving to Atlanta. He produced Jay "Young Jeezy" Jenkins' Standing Ovation (2005), Jeezy's Amazing (2008), Hustlaz Ambition (2008) and Put On (2008) off his album Recession (2008); My Life Your Entertainment (2008) and What Up What's Happenin (2008) for T.I. off his album Paper Trail (2008); Gucci Mane's The Movie (2008) and much of his subsequent albums; Rocko's Self Made (2008); Gangsta Boo & DJ Drama's The Rumors (2009); Tauheed "2 Chainz" Epps' early singles Boo (2010), Spend It (2011) and Turn Up (2012); the trio Migos' single Look At My Dab (2015); DJ Drama, Young Buck, Gangsta Boo, etc.

He debuted solo with the 20-song album Welcome II My City (2009), followed by The Birth Of D-Boy Fresh (2011), Welcome To My City 2 (2012), and Welcome To My City 3 (2014), all of them collaborations with a variety of rappers.
