Scotland's Trembling Bells, fronted by stately vocalist Lavinia Blackwall and
conducted by drummer Alex Neilson, delivered the fragile and intense
roots-rock tunes of Carbeth (2009), followed by the less inspired
Abandoned Love (2010) and
The Constant Pageant (2011), and collaborated with
Bonnie Billy Prince on The Marble Downs (2012).
