Witchcraft
(fronted by guitarist/vocalist Magnus Pelander)
led the contingent of Swedish bands that adopted a retro sound
harking back to hard-rock of the 1970s; and not only Black Sabbath, but also
Jethro Tull. Witchcraft (2004) was enough though.
Firewood (2005) was already too much of a revival.
The Alchemist (Rise Above, 2007), if nothing else, contained
the 15-minute The Alchemist.
Witchcraft's vocalist Magnus Pelander debuted solo with
the EP
Magnus Pelander (Svart Records, 2010).
The rest of Witchcraft without Pelander
reunited as Troubled Horse and recorded
Step Inside (Rise Above, 2012)
