Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi became a pop star with
Someone You Loved (2019),
composed by veteran songwriters TMS (Thomas Barnes,
Peter Kelleher and
Benjamin Kohn) with Samuel Romans, which became
the longest-running top 10 single of all time in Britain.
Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (2019),
mostly produced by Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway,
a collection of piano ballads
in the tradition of the
mournful and meditative singer-songwriter
of the 1970s, notably Elton John.
Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent (2023) contains the singles
Forget Me
(composed by TMS, aka the trio of Froe Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Merf Kelleher),
Wish You the Best (another TMS creation) and
Pointless (co-composed by Johnny McDaid, Steve Mac and Ed Sheeran).
