Marshmello (Philadelphia's producer and DJ Christopher Comstock)
became a star with his second single, Alone (2016).
He became one of the main purveyors of a more melodic kind of future bass than the original one.
His album Joytime (2016) includes the single Keep It Mello
and was followed by more singles:
the ballad Silence (2017),
Wolves (2017) with singer Selena Gomez, Friends (2018) and Happier (2018).
In February 2019 he pioneered virtual events in metaverse by performing live
on Fortnite.
