Mississippi's clownish rapping duo Rae Sremmurd (brothers Khalif "Swae Lee" Brown and Aaquil "Slim Jxmmi" Brown) became famous thanks to the trap singles
We (2013) and Throw Sum Mo (2014), produced by
Mike "Mike Will Made It" Williams who had produced
Gucci Mane and Waka Flaka Flame.
SremmLife (2015), containing the singles
No Flex Zone (produced by Williams and rapper Asheton "A+" Hogan) and
No Type (again produced by Williams),
but also Lit Like Bic and Come Get Her,
established them as great party rappers with minimal production.
SremmLife II (2016) lost some of the punch and juvenile energy,
despite the even bigger
singles Black Beatles (produced by Williams)
and Swang (produced by Pierre "P-Nazty" Slaughter).
By then they had released 26 songs and half of them had become platinum hits.
SR3MM (Ear Drummer, 2018) has only 3 or 4 decent tracks:
T'd Up (produced by Metro Boomin), Powerglide and
Swae Lee debuted solo with Swaecation (2018), more sung than rapped, and
Slim Jxmmi debuted solo with Jxmtro (2018), both released together with
SR3MM as a triple album.
All their albums have a lot of filler, and the triple album could easily be
trimmed down to an EP (mostly of songs from SR3MM).
